How many units and people are there?

Ozello Keys- We have one- 2 bedroom Ground level Guest cottage (limit 4) and one 3-Bedroom Stilt Home (limit 6) - reserving

both upper and lower units for your group will ensure that it will be your group only (maximum 10 people) One additional person

each unit if approved by management in writing at an additional fee both in Stilt and Guesthouse.

How many rivers can I kayak ?

Black Creek, St. Martin's River, Salt Creek, Crystal River & Homosassa Rivers + more with literally hundreds of islands to

explore, some with ancient Indian mounds. Marked Kayak/Canoe Trails

How far is it to a grocery store or restaurants ?

Island Outpost is a small family owned convenience store that carry staples & make great sandwiches and is located less than

 2 blocks from the Property.  There are 3 waterfront restaurants all within 3 miles of the Property or if you wish to venture out,

we are between Crystal River & Homosassa Springs, each being about 10 miles from the Property

LaPond Lakefront Vacation Apartments-Convenient Meadow Crest Area having Publix Shopping Center and Winn Dixie within

walking Distance.

What kind of wildlife might I see ?

Awesome wildlife can be viewed from every facet of these Keys where blue herons nest, mullet can be seen jumping in the water

 as well as fishing dolphin, just to name a few. Tarpon Tails whipping at the surface. There are numerous families of nesting

eagles, red-tailed hawks, osprey and so much more. Come see the real Florida!

What linens are furnished ?

Yes, all bed linens as well as bath, and kitchen towels are furnished.

How likely am I to get ate by an alligator ?

You have a better chance at getting killed by a falling star - truly! than you are to get bit by a 'gator - we're not on their diet and

they are not aggressive as a Crock, and they don't live here!

What's fishing like there ?

Bring your fishing' rods and choose between fishing off the island, from the dock or make arrangements with one of the local

fishing guides that come highly recommended for an exciting afternoon of one our favorite past times. Trout, flounder, stingray,

black and red drum and more have been caught from our dock with bait from the shop about a Block from the house. 

Record tarpon and reds have been reeled in close by. Blue Crabs off the Dock. I supply the Crab Traps, you get the chicken

necks( bait), and eat your Blue crab catch.

Does the kitchen have a blender ?

Yep, and that's not all - both upper and lower units of Ozello Keys and both LaPond Vacation Units are each equipped with a

coffee maker, toaster, Microwave, blender and more. If there's a question about any other appliances or something you

Are pets welcome at Ozello Keys and

LaPond Apartments?

Yes, pets up to 20 lbs are welcome at a modest fee. Wide varieties of wildlife can be found on the island ...

beautiful birds, squirrels, and lizards live on the island. Cranes, herons, seagulls and others visit the island

and for the safety and well being of all (your pets, and wildlife) we ask that your pet be contained

or on a leash when outdoors. 

What time is check-in/check-out  ?

Unless prior arrangements are made, check-in is 4 pm and check-out is at 10 am. Advance notice and a nominal fee will be

charged for late stays or early arrivals.
